Viena atbilde ““Latvijas stāsti. Personības” – Austris Grasis”

  1. Hello from Australia,
My name is Margret McPharlin (nee GRASIS).
I loved watching this. Although I speak no Latvian, the story was so warm and lovely. Is it possible to get an English translation, if at any time he mentions family or names of family. He looks alot like my father. My dearest wish is to have a photo of Janis, my grandfather, to know when and where he was born and where he is now buried.
I have been searching for my grandfather Janis Grasis’s family born 1875 for over 12 years. I am wondering if he Janis is a relative. He is my grandfather. my father is his 3rd child Julius Helmuts born 25th August 1925. Janis had a daughter as well, Veronica Zentina who died in childbirth. All I know about Janis is that he was a high ranking officer in the Army, a carpenter by trade, not very tall and married Alise Bruveris in 1920 in Bauska. Later he married another woman who had sons of her own and they lived on a farm possibly in Sagulda. Her name is unknown. Do you know Janis, was he related to you in any way? I have so many places that I have left messages, I am on VK and frype, with no luck there either.
my email is mcpharlin@internode.on.net and I am on fave book as well.
    Thank your for your time,
    Kind Regatds,
    Margret.
